This is my fave movie of all time. I got the heavy beep right away when I saw it the first time. if by heavy beep your are refering to the fact that really happend to bobby. I guess caues I was 14 when It came out on vhs. I had lost my 7 great fasanations and wonderes.

I think Joseph's character said the F word in the beginning so yeah. It's a kids movie not for kids to watch.

I feel exactly the same way as you grassroots... Im 24 now and my sister and I used to watch this movie a lot when we were growing up. Some dont think this is really a "kids" movie but I found it extremely enjoyable as a young kid. Its just different watching it as an adult now, a lot darker. Still love it though!!

I was really young when I watched it, which I did many times. After watching it for the first time for a long time it was just heartbreaking. Im 23 and demestic violence is bad enough but an angry dad or farther in law that beats on a what I guess a 7 year old boy that couldnt deffent himself was pritty upsetting. It was upsetting to see Bobby (Joseph Mazzello) being a target. When he was saying oh when he was turing in the bed I was about to cry.

I saw this movie a million times when I was a kid (I was 8 when I first saw it)and it was one of my favorites. It still is. But it's interesting how different the movie is when you're older. When I saw it again when I was in college, I was almost shocked at the content. As a kid, you don't realize how disturbing the movie is.

I always cry when I watch this movie. Especially the end.

Same here. I overlooked the content which is pritty high in this film when I was young. Today im older and its pritty freighting to watch.

^Sorry. The story is fiction but demesic abuse isnt. I know this was fiction but the King was such a coward picking on poor little Bobby.
