I agree give Joe his Emmy and Golden Globe for episode 9!

This dude sucks as Sledge. His transition from a pansy to a self righteous badass was too unbelievable.

You mustn’t be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.

If you can watch that scene of Joe and the dying woman in episode 9 and still call him "unbelieveable" your obviously watching a different program.

The fact that you even called Sledge who was a real life man not some made up character a freakin pansy shows just how unknowledgeable about this series you are. I suggest you read with The Old Breed.

I think he did a fine job as Sledge. In fact, in my opinion, they should have just stayed with Sledges book and spent a couple more episodes on Okinawa and boot camp. There's some great detail in Sledge's book, that was left out, that would have made the series as good or better than BoB. I wonder if they could go back and shoot the Sledge stuff that was left out?

I just finished watching the whole series, finally last night. There were so many actors in this but Eugene was my favorite. Joe was amazing how pewny he looked at first and by each battle, his face started to change.
It would be great to see more of Eugene's life back home.
