Wow, major flashback! I was 10 in 1985 and VERY sure I was gonna marry MJF. Alas.

I don't know why Michael and Nancy broke up, but I know it was right after they made that summer camp movie, I think it was called poison ivy... anyways-

being speculative, I would venture a guess that meeting the girl how would ultimately become his wife, whateverhernameis, as she was a costar on Family Ties, had something to do withit... gotta remember that it was all in the same time period.

No idea, but I would imagine its pretty normal. They were teenagers in Hollywood. As it was they were together a pretty long time.

Supposedly they are still close friends however.

As for the lesbian thing, just because some people thought Jo might be a closeted lesbian on FOL doesn't mean Nancy was a lesbian in her own life. She's actually married with a two year old daughter.

Ha-ha! I was 9 in 1985, and I was certain I was going to marry MJF someday. Though, if I was going to not get him, I thought Nancy was the perfect girl for him. I was so upset when I read that they broke up. But, then, there was the episode of Family Ties, where Alex and Ellen (Tracy Pollen) kiss at the party. I was only abouat 10 then, but I knew that was one amazing looking kiss. It was no surprise to me when they eventually married, etc.

I was 8 years old in '85 and had no idea they were dating. I was a fan of both. Looking back, idk. Kinda weird to picture them together. But cute at the same time, lol!

According to the interviews I have seen them do. They broke up because of his drinking.
