What ever happened to the Nancy McKeon fan base?

I could remember back between 2001 thru 2003 (and perhaps even 2004) that there was a huge Nancy McKeon fan base thing going around, (complete with at least 20+ Nancy McKeon message board sites on the internet! (Not mentioning this one and sitcomsonline!))

Now the only Nancy McKeon message board fan site I can find these days on the internet is Kelly's Nancy McKeon message board page http://z10.invisionfree.com/Nancy_McKeon/index.php?http://www.sitcomso nline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=166364&highlight=nancy+mckeon+me ssage+board,!

I could also remember literally thousands of different Nancy McKeon fans who would post on those forums! Now, it seems that there's only perhaps an estimated 150 left on the internet (me included)!

What ever happened to the "Nancy McKeon" craze/fad of a few years ago? I wonder if it'll ever come back!

I can't be one of only a few Nancy McKeon fans left on this planet!

I never belonged to a fansite for Nancy. I'm sorry so many sites disappeared though. I grew up with her. I remember her being my fav character on FOL.

Anyway, the reason I'm here is because there is one of her movie's airing on LMN as I am typing this. I came to this board to see what she was up to and found out she retired. Is that true? Bummer for us, but great for her. I hope she's happy.

Well The Facts of Life was re-aired on Nick at Nite from 2000-2001 and The Division was aired 2001-2004. Since then, over the course of 3 years she's done two TV movies and an episode of Without a Trace which was aired nearly a year ago. It makes a lot of sense that since she hasn't been up to much lately a lot of fans haven't been active posters.

I am still a fan. I just watched her in her new biography from the Biography channel. It is on you tube, all 5 parts. OMG! It was really good.

The internet fanbase began long before 2001. It was pretty staggering in the late '90s when "Can't Hurry Love" and "Style & Substance" were airing. But, as mentioned above, she was still frequently acting and reruns of "Facts of Life" and her countless movies of the week were still in continuous rotation, keeping her in the public's consciousness. She's not doing much these days, the reruns have dried up, and websites have a tendency to vanish without a trace.... like the first message board the OP cited.
