According to reports, Nancy will be playing a recurring role on the new upcoming Disney Channel show "Sonny With a Chance". She will be playing the mom to Demi Lovato's character.
Not exactly anything to stretch her acting chops, but she will be working regularly and for a show that will likely be very successful with kids and tweens.

shareI download everything free from the itunes store and the first episode of Sonny with a Chance happened to be free so I downloaded it, knowing nothing of the show or Disney Channel and the next day I watch it. I was so unbelievably excited I practically threw my ipod across the room in disbelief when I saw Nancy Mckeon as Sonny's mom! I'm embarrassed to admit I'll watch the program just to see her back on TV.

Imagine my suprise when my husband comes running into the room, laughing, to tell me that she was playing Demi's mom. At first I said "Nooo! She can't..." Then I realised that we are the same age = LOL.
It is so nice to see her on TV again and she looks great!
same here, i really don't like anything that has to do with disney channel, but i will def. watch Sonny with a Chance since she's one there. I just wish they would have her on there more, but she will probably end up playing another mom on a Disney Channel movie, which would be awesome!
