I think it just means an old article is being looked at which can boost it up the most watched list. The BBC seem to keep everything forever and sometimes old stories just keep resurfacing.

Harvey Korman's death was just announced by a news service in May on the 13th anniversary of his death.

And it's not the first time it has happened.
