Can't believe there are no posts for this amazing actor! Loved him in A Beautiful Mind, The Last Station (about Tolstoy), Danny Collins, The New World.

My favourite performances of his include Captain Von Trapp, Rudyard Kipling in The Man Who Would Be King, journalist Mike Wallace in The Insider, mean Uncle Ralph in Nicholas Nickleby and the villain in a Santa suit (and chilling-but-funny drag) in The Silent Partner.
