Yessssss...so much very, very, very good news!

History renewed the Vikings (2013) for a 5th season (one of my favourite series).

Travis Fimmel (Viking's King Ragnar) will play Stanislaus "Kat" Katczinsky in All Quiet on the Western Front (2016). Mr. Fimmel is one of my favourite actors aside JRM. "All Quiet on the Western Front" is a sad, but also a very good book about WWI. It will become a great movie with him.

And now Jonathan Rhys Meyers will appear in the Vikings! 
Alas, we still don't know whom exactly he'll play.
My guess stays Alfred the Great.

Yes, JRM is a great actor.
Alas, we still don't know what character he'll play in this medieval show.
Until then you may watch your Packers.

As for Jonathan Rhys Meyers, since he was cast back in March of this year, little has been revealed about the character he will play other than he will be involved in Season 5. However, Vikings creator Michael Hirst revealed to The Hollywood Reporter during Comic-Con that Jonathan Rhys Meyers' character will actually be introduced in the second half of Season 4 of Vikings.

"We introduce him and set the scene for the next season. He’s going to be a major player," Hirst explained. "I am thrilled that he's joined us and I can't wait to explore his character."

Jonathan Rhys Meyers is currently starring in History’s Roots as Tom Lea.

Vikings will return later in 2016, and the series has been renewed for Season 5 by the History Channel.
