Audiobooks?

Hi all,

just rediscovered GR (thanks to The King's Speech of course). I love listening to audiobooks, especially those read by my fav actors. Did he read any? I couldn't find anything. Thanks for helping.

I can't find any evidence of an audiobook (would be lovely!)

Besides Finding Nemo - this is the only other voice-work he's done of which I'm aware. The project was for charity, too. I wonder if a recording was made of it - if it had been recorded and sold it could have raised more money:

"Russian, existential, absurdist, tragi-comedy also rocks!"

Ah thanks! (Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get e-mail notification for some reason).

Yeah it would be great if he did a couple of audiobooks. Maybe one day! :)

reply

He should.

His voice makes a Chinese takeaway menu sound like Shakespeare!

You're damn right there! Amen to that.

I'd love him to read me my Harlan Coben novels. Now that'd be lush! I reckon he's got the voice for crime fic... but theeennn again, a bit of the ol' Austen romance wouldn't go astray either - oh boy, wouldn't that be somethin' folks! Yum-oi. Or a spot of Dickensian foolery. Now that I think about it, really just any old thing'll do... textbooks would be helpful, or would they...? Blast, here we go with GPS/SatNav wishful thinking again! That would be epic fun though, we always thought Hector would make the perfect navvie.

French existential absurdist tragi-comedy rocks! G.Rush

Geoffrey Rush's voice for sat-navs, LOL!
It wouldn't work for me at all! I'd get distracted from his gorgeous voice!

He did the narration for Harvey Krumpet, too, don't forget. But yeah, he should do audiobooks. Imagine putting headphones and and falling asleep to that soothing voice.

I love Harvie Krumpet. His narration was exquisite! I can imagine it already! Does anyone ever has that voice in your head which represents your thoughts? He's the voice of my thoughts!

Apologies for sounding crazy there.
