The King's Speech - is his performance Oscar-worthy?

Best actor in a supporting role? He looks amazing in the trailer. It seems like between the 3 co-stars (Rush, Helena Bonham Carter, and Colin Firth), someone is bound to win something.

Anyone who has seen the film care to share some thoughts?

I think he's one of the best supporting roles this year.

To be honest he was better than CF for me,and wasn't a supporting role strictly.
That's a leading role.

yeah, he rocked it!
For me he was another Christoph Waltz

And I was surprised his name was listed as an executive producer!

Yes - I would imagine this script meant a lot to Rush, being an Australian actor/director/writer/heck-of-a-nice-guy and all.

Seeing as his strong suit is the stage, I thought his performance in The King's Speech was brilliantly measured.

I have yet to see his movie, but it's going to be tough to beat Christian Bales performance in 'The Fighter'.
