The guy steals every scene he was in. He had to play a serious captain, but in the times he was supposed to play the role comedically, he did it with such subtlety so it wouldn't look like he was completely out of character.
shareHmmm, maybe too much nuance confused the Republican voters in the Television Academy, who are so set off by nuance they should still have black and white TVs. Maybe a riot with guns and bombs is in order? ;-)
shareI agree. He was marvelous in the role, he absolutely carried the show, and he's the only thing about the show that I still love today.
The man deserved, and deserved, more respect that he gets!
