Dedication in his book

Dedicated his autobiography, "Pieces of My Heart" to his mother and sister, daughters Katie Wagner and Courtney Wagner, former stepdaughter Natasha Gregson Wagner and to his wife, Jill St. John. He thanked them for being, "the meaning of his life".

I would think he would also dedicate it to his LATE WIFE Natalie. Why does it say former stepdaughter for Natasha, isn't she really still a stepdaughter even though her mother died?

Dedications are usually for LIVING people. Unfortunately Natalie isn't.

As far as Natasha is concerned, since he raised her, he should think of her as a daughter, not stepdaughter.

reply

Not necessarily. I've seen many author dedications that are in honor of deceased people.

Obviously you don't. So, I wouldn't get on this site again. Who gives a beep about you? NO ONE.

Zevan, you are just trying to stir up trouble. I checked the dedication in the book and what is says is this:

For Katie, Natasha, Courtney
for my mother and sister
and for Jill-
the wonderful women who have been
the meaning of my life

No mention of the words "former stepdaughter" as you claim. Next time I think you should look before you post things that are not correct.

Show me above where NATALIE'S name is at. Next time I think you should look before you post things that are not correct, or attempting to cause problems by changing the subject of the matter that is Natalie. My god, he was married to Natalie twice & had a child by her & didn't even mention her in his dedication. What a slap in the face to Natalie. Look again & you will also see I didn't say he mentioned "former stepdaughter" in his book, but he had supposedly said that somewhere else. Wonderful women who have been a meaning to his life? Obviously he showed Natalie wasn't of any meaning his life, so he MADE SURE HE DIDN'T MENTION HER. This is also a major slap in the face to Natalie's daughters, I'd be mad if my father didn't mention my mother, especially if she had supposedly died from a terrible accident. It was no accident Natalie's name wasn't mentioned, and I believe it was no accident Natalie ended up DEAD. This case is being reopened for good reason. They don't just reopen cases for the hell of it. Show me one where they have.

So not sure where the confusion is. You claimed it said former step daughter when it clearly did not. That's the point I was trying to make.

As for not mentioning Natalie in the dedication I too find that a little strange. It was written 28 years later and perhaps he meant that if it wasn't for them he wouldn't have been able to continue on his life after Natalie. They are the meaning of his life as it is now.

Plus had he mentioned her then people would have said "oh he's being hypocritical" so really he can't win.
