Ok so online outrage has finally jumped the shark

Can you believe this?

Digital blackface? What a load of nonsense. Using Oprah’s often OTT reactions as memes is no more offensive to me than using Tom Cruise jumping on her couch as one. Actually I would have more of a problem if people refused to find the funny in her expressions simply because she’s black, to me that’s immeasurably more racist.

I think whining about Cancel Culture has jumped the shark.

For me it was when posters here and elsewhere were peeing their panties because DisneyPlus added a parental filter that restricted minors' access to their streaming channel, and then some preambled "warning" at the beginning of some of their older cartoons movies. It was broadcasted immediately that Disney decided to CANCEL and remove said movies, but in reality nothing was removed at all.

Am I still allowed to share memes of cats since I am not a cat? And what about babies? Are baby memes still acceptable?

I know right? 🙄

The thing is I don’t find Oprah’s reactions or idiosyncrasies typically black, I find them completely specific to her as an individual. And I find nothing wrong with using them to express your own feelings, whatever your skin tone is.
