Xena reboot in 2016 says the Hollywood Reporter

I replied on the XWP board. And I said:

@rs_cyr the article said they want Lucy involved on both the screen and behinds scenes. It's a series, so I doubt she'll be playing Xena. Unless she plays an older or alternative version mentoring to a younger Xena? Because Lucy has explicitly said that she isn't interested in doing a series playing Xena again. As in doing all those action scenes. Although she was fine with doing a 90 min movie.

reb - Lucy just tweeted that it's a rumor. I thought the Hollywood Reporter would be a credible source. Whatever Lucy wants to do in the series would be fine with me, as long as she's in it.

The latest news from NBC says Rob and Sam are signed on and they want Lucy involved behind the scenes. I wish Rob and/or Sam would address this.

I'm sure they will once something has been decided. Until then, no point in talking in maybes; it would just fuel more rumors.

Just saw Malin Akerman lip sync battle and she looks so much like Lucy that they could do a flashback show using the two of them. That way she could be Xena again without having to carry the show, or do most of the stunts etc., which is probably why she doesn't want to be Xena again. She wouldn't have to spend12+ hours per day all week filming and heavy stunt work which would lift some of the burden off her.
