Lucy To Star in CODE - Aussie Political Thriller

Here's an article about it:

Stars come out for political thriller

Lucy Lawless of Xena: Warrior Princess fame, Dan Spielman from Offspring and Adam Garcia from Coyote Ugly are some of the big names starring in a political thriller to be filmed in Canberra.
CODE, a six-hour series for ABC TV, will start filming in Sydney on Monday. Scenes will also be shot in Broken Hill. Filming in Canberra will start on September 2, with two weeks of the expected seven-week shoot to take place in the national capital. Locations in Canberra include Parliament House, the Shine Dome, New Acton and Red Hill where a former embassy building will fill in as an actual embassy.

CODE is being billed as a ''contemporary thriller stretching from the spectacular red desert of Australia's outback to the cool corridors of power''. It's the story of two very different brothers who come across a new technology that people in the highest echelons of power will kill to keep secret.

It sounds interesting. Maybe BBC America or the CBC in Canada will show it along with an American channel.

Sounds interesting, hope more info is released soon. What kind of new technology would require such secrecy? And I wonder what role Lucy will play; sister, wife, one of the high power people?

I'm happy we'll have Lucy in a new series/role.

I hope it's a bigger role this time.

Why don't you be happy that Lucy has a new role!!!! Always the negativity wherever you go.

Here's what Lucy had to say about CODE at Dragon Con this weekend:

DD: Where are you off to after Dragon Con? Any upcoming projects besides your guest stints on Parks & Rec?

LL: I’m doing a mini series in Australia, a political thriller called The Code. It’s about an indigenous kid in Australia who gets himself embroiled in a horrible nuclear conspiracy. The kid is going to wear all the blame for an accident that happens that’s not much to do with him. I play his teacher in the outback who’s trying to save his ass. They’re up against something way bigger than they can comprehend.

I haven't heard anything about how serious an injury it was, other than on her site it said she would be ok. Hopefully they can work around it or maybe shoot her scenes later.

Well she just tweeted that she was dancing to Pink in NZ. So I assume the her injury is much better.
