Her lips in '1408'

I just got back from seeing 1408, and what stood out most about Mary McCormack's performance in this movie is her lips! It's very obvious that she's had some kind of injection...not that they're big per se, but they look lumpy. To be honest, it was somewhat distracting. Every time she was on screen, I tried to figure out if it was in fact her....the voice was unmistakeable, but those lips make her look so different. Very disappointing. Am I the only one that was distracted by this?

really i think the biggest thing that made her look different in that movie was... her weight.. she looks like she lost some.. but not too much.. she looks great.. and i think her face looks a lil different like her cheek bones look a lil higher.. maybe not idk.. but i also did notice her lips.. it just didnt look like the biggest change to me... but idk

I also had trouble paying attention to her lines with her big fake lips. The only other movie I've seen her in is Dickie Roberts and her lips were thin but not so thin that she needed injections. Her upper lip looked really swollen against her thin face.

Seriously her mouth was exactly the same as it always is. Granted the makeup was not first rate but I have stills and her mouth looks just like it always does.

lol... maybe you were so bored that you tried to find something to keep your mind from flatlining while you were watching

anyway she's in for about 5 minutes and not a decent closeup in the lot!

watch the movie "Private Parts", when she was a no namer/secure actress/non-plastic person. If you can actually say that she HASN'T had awful, horrible work done on her lips then you're either blind or a huge fan of hers and won't let yourself believe what's obvious and right in front of you. She looks like a COMPLETELY different person from how she looked 10 years ago. Awful plastic surgery. It's a shame she so insecure about herself (just about every actress in the business is)

And there were plenty of close-ups on her BUMPY/LUMPY upper lip.

100000% on that. The most scary thing? Her lips. I told MY GF after the film.." Did you see how fake her lips" They look bad!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to say this was distracting to me too. I really like her as an actress and while her lips weren't as bad as what Meg Ryan did a couple years ago, I admit I was distracted by them and a little disappointed that an actress of her caliber would feel the need to do that. But in her defense, you how Hollywood is- if you're not 25, firm and wrinkle free- your roles probably start to dwindle so I can understand why actresses over 30 (and these days, even younger) feel the pressure to get plastic surgery.
