Why hasn't she got at least 1 Academy Award win, even if it was just for Best Supporting Actress!!
I mean come one now, with an acting range like that, she is up there with Meryl Streep for goodness sakes!!

shareAlfre Woodard is an amazing actress thank goodness she has won a couple of Emmy awards and I think she has a golden globe..she is a class act along with Angela Bassett.I think Alfre was nominated for an Oscar for passion fish back in the 1990s..

Alfre Woodard was nominated for an Oscar as Best Supporting Actress in the early '80s for a movie based on the life of author Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings called "Cross Creek." She SHOULD have been nominated for "Passion Fish," though! I also agree that Alfre Woodard is one of the finest actors in the business and she is terribly underrated. I would see her in ANYTHING!!!! Even the people on "Desperate Housewives" have thus far managed to underutilize her superior skills. Hollywood definitely needs to get with it!!!
