Horrible actress -and looks like the mother of actresses her age

Boo hoo hoo. Quit whining because people think that she looks ALOT older than her real age. It's the way she carries herself in every movie and in every scene. Sorry, but there are millions and billions of dollars to be made and Hollywood doesn't have time to spend (or us men wish to blow money) on actors/actresses that won't conform 'to the perfect ideal woman/man'. If I want to see a woman 'age naturally' then I'll do a documentary on my mother or sisters. I/we all want the ideal actress, so we can get a moment to escape the real world.

If a person doesn't want to play by the Hollywood rules (beauty and maintenance) then they don't deserve the millions and A list life that could be theirs. Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth, Elizabeth Montgomery, Vivianne Leigh, among others weren't perfect size 0 bobble head dingbats that you all think us men want, they were classy, beautiful, heart pounding, traffic stopping, women - they could take a man's breath away with a single look. Sorry, BUT Connie takes our breath away only because of the shock when we discover she is 15-20 years older than she looks (or acts). She made Friday Night Lights, Nashville unwatchable, and made American Horror Story a nightmare to watch--if not for Jessica Lange. Now Jessica Lange can still make a man walk right into a wall (and she's older than Connie, imagine thst--I guess it's not all about age, huh?).

You must be fun at parties.

Cinabuff, I see you have a habit of popping into these Connie Britton threads and making sarcastic comments about anyone who says anything about her. What's it like defending a person who doesn't even know you exist?

reply

Lol. Not sure that two comments would be considered a "habit", but sure. You do realize that this is a public message board? You realize that 99.9% of comments made on IMDb are about people we've never met? I can ask you why the hell you're even on a Connie Britton message board since I'm assuming you've never met her, but I mean, you see how stupid that sounds?

But you know what? Your nonsensical comment aside, it's amazing (and telling) that you take issue with my 6 words, but not with the 250 words that the OP wrote to rant about how Hollywood shouldn't waste its money on her because she looks too 'old and ugly', and no man wants to spend his hard earned money watching a woman who has aged naturally, who doesn't conform to HIS idea of the ideal woman. I'm assuming the OP isn't a 13 year old boy so it is absolutely mind boggling that a grown adult would admit to having this opinion and actually write it down.

Quote: "She made Friday Night Lights, Nashville unwatchable, and made American Horror Story a nightmare to watch." THIS is what I take issue with. Take issue with her acting ability. I don't care. I happen to think she's amazing, but I really don't care if you think she's the worst actor in the world. I take issue with the CONSTANT judgement of women and their appearance by ignoramuses like you and the OP. You just have NO idea and won't bother to investigate the effect that society and media have on women and their values as human beings. Ask your mother, your sister, your wife, your daughter to read the OPs message. See how they react, and you won't be so quick to jump down my throat.

The OPs comment is SO IGNORANT that I don't even know where to begin, which is why I wrote what I did. His rant was enough for me to know that he needs to spend his time doing something more constructive with life, and grow as an actual human being and not some bottom-dwelling low-life. But is some anonymous poster on a movie site going to change his viewpoint? Probably not.

I really have nothing to say to you, because I find you and your ilk odious and offensive. Because I know your real issue with me, and why you felt the need to comment on my throwaway sentence, is that I'm supporting and defending someone who is Pro-Choice (like myself). I see what you wrote about Ms. Britton and everyone else who holds the same beliefs. See... I can play the snoop game too.

It really is SO weird that you came on here to attack me, so I know that it actually has nothing to do with me.

Get a life.

I really have nothing to say to you...

Which is why you wrote a 500-word essay, amirite?
