I haven't been able to find anything regarding his exit from the show. I know that the character of Jimmy in the UK series leaves the show as well but I didn't think that the US version followed the original that closely.

He didn't leave; the writers killed him off because they felt his storyline had ran it's course. If he was offered the choice to come back, which they might do next season, then I think he'd welcome it.
shareThanks. It sure literally felt like they killed off his character to the point of making his useless and a piece of shît. The moment he returns, I hope he returns as a heroe (I know it ain't spelt like that but I like it anyway) to make up for that B.S. exit.
