How many of you voted for her?

It's ok now to fess up

I wrote in Jill Stein of the Green Party, and actively worked to try and get actual progressives to vote for a progressive candidate as opposed to Clinton. Given there were eight different possible leftist candidates to vote for/write-in, it seemed a good idea to let people know they had choices.

Down ballot, I didn't vote for any Democrats or Republicans. An Independent write-in for Governor, a Libertarian for Congress, and didn't vote in the Senate race (no worthy candidates).

Locally's less interesting, but suffice it to say I didn't vote for any candidates for the State House seat, nor any local elections (be them Democrat or Republican).

For 2016, that's my political history.

Insofar as Clinton specifically is concerned, I am glad she lost, though am deeply saddened that Trump won. Either Clinton or Trump would have been atrocious, so it was a lose-lose either way (as there was no way a third party candidate was going to win, though I supported them across the board).

I voted for Gary Johnson, even though I knew he couldn't win. He was far from a perfect candidate, and I think he would have been blockaded on both sides, but I couldn't vote for either "mainstream" candidate in good conscience. I thought Trump was too much of a loose cannon and Clinton was WAY too much of a crook.

reply

Voting for a 3rd party was essentially voting for Cheeto

reply

I would have voted for a Cheeto over the two mainstream parties, but I didn't have that option.

Although I'm glad Hillary didn't win, I didn't feel I could support Trump. Of course, now that he's the president I do support him, though I don't still fully trust his judgement.

I did NOT! There is no parallel universe where that would ever happen.

I did and would again. Now we have a clown president. America is the world's joke.

American politics is a circus. A clown president will fit right in!

Right here. The thought process many chose to ignore was that If she is indeed guilty of crimes and was impeached, we'd have the drunk Mr. Rogers for president. He'd have been a sort of Jerry Ford replay, and wouldn't have done any real harm. But rather than thinking that through, most chose to go with Cheeto based on largely hot air. And if he gets impeached, we have Himmler for president.
