For some reason I really disliked his character on Gilmore Girls, he was kind of smug. Love him on the Good Wife, great character, very complex. Czuchry does a wonderful job on both shows though.

His character on Gilmore Girls was truly the worst and when I saw Matt later on Friday Night Lights I was already primed to hate that character too. I just came to associate Matt with smug d-bags.
But I'm really very impressed with him on The Good Wife. We're meant to be against him because he's Alicia's 'rival' but he's actually a really great guy.
I love how he plays off the other characters, especially Kalinda and Diane. He's really sweet and smart and very good at his job.
I kinda like Alicia less because she thinks so little of him.
Agreed - on The Good Wife Cary has boyish demure, but Czuchry can pull off a very well-rounded character.
ALL AT THE SAME TIME Czuchry can depict Cary as intelligent, serious, confident, a player, and ruthless when called for.
Good actor - deserves more A-list roles.
