Great and influential guitar player...he was a big influence on John Fogerty, as an example.
I don't think " Forrest Gump" would have been nearly the movie it was if it weren't for the scene where Forrest breaks free from his leg braces and takes off running, with Eddy's "Rebel Rouser" playing in the background. Such a genius use of music in that movie & that scene was a great example of that.
