To me, his dinner scene (and just his Hanson in general) was one of the best comical scenes I think I've ever seen done on film. I remember literally laughing so hard right out loud in the theatre that people started staring back. Whether he improvised a litte bit of that skit, or even wrote some of it I dunno, but to me there's not too many who could pull a scene/character off like that.

I agree. Just saw this again. My favorite line from the movie is when the wheel chair guy is hanging on the window and he says: "you, take my little hand."

shareI'm with the OP who said it's one of the funniest scenes on film. The writing, the delivery, the timng -- it's all brilliant. I watch Scary Movie 2 every time it's on just to see him do his schtick. In fact, I just saw it again, which is why I'm here to see if others feel the same way. One day I'll have to get the DVD to see what got censored.
I'm going to bed now, and when the lights are out and I'm all alone I'll say to myself, "Hiawatha!" and start giggling away...
HYeah I had it on when Comedy Central was playing it earlier today. He's easily the best part of the movie. It sucks he doesn't get more work these days, he's still as funny as ever. At least he still shows up in comedy bits on Letterman sometimes.
