A 'douchebag' is someone who runs over small animals, on purpose, in his car. Or someone who intentionally tries to be malicious. Having a lackluster career (in your opinion) does not qualify.
Chris Elliot has been in movies and had a brilliant run in 'Get A Life' for two seasons.

Granted, comedy such as Chris Elliot depends on taking risks that not everyone can appreciate but even if it fails for you (which I can understand) Chris is a good guy.
