Is he a jerk?
I remember when Fox was doing the "Who shot Burns" thing on the Simpsons. They interviewed other actors to see their opinions. It was all in good fun. All but Chris Elliot played it up. This guy acted like a jerk. Instead of getting into the spirit and having fun, he kvetched and compared it to the Dallas "Who shot JR" thing. (which was obvious, but come on, have a sense of humor)
Ever since, I thought of him as a humorless jerk in person. He is a good actor. I loved him on Everybody Loves Raymond.
