Rest in Peace Harlan Ellison, author of my favorite Star Trek episode May 27, 1934 to June 28, 2018

Harlan Ellison was kind of annoying whenever I heard this speak, but he was an amazing writer, and writer for TV and Movies. Ellison wrote my favorite episode of Star Trek, the original series ( or one of them anyway ), "The City on the Edge of Forever" and also was paid for the concept of the Terminator by James Cameron from an old Outer Limits episode. Simple as the old Outer Limits series was the writing and plots were still very adult and complex.

A bit of a hypocrite appeared in Variety magazine, Ellison had little sympathy for others who brought copyright-infringement suits against the studios, telling the L.A. Times, “You’ve got to realize that there are hundreds of these claims and most of them aren’t valid.

There are tons of stories about Ellison, and tons of stories written by him or influenced by him. He was a character as vivid an any fictional character.

It is sad to hear that he has passed away today. I could not find the cause of death mentioned online.
