Genuinely nice and fun person, my Anna Faris story

I usually don't like IMDB stories people post about meeting stars, mainly because they are usually more about the poster than the celebrity, and also because they go on and on forever (so I'll try to keep mine short).

Back in 2004 in Regina, Saskatchewan I was at a local club that usually booked live bands (indy-type), but had an pretty vibrant 80s night once a week (Thursdays) that people really got into, dressing up, etc.

Unbeknownst to me, there were 3 movie-star type people in the club that night (they were in Regina and Moose Jaw to shoot a film, "Just Friends"). I hadn't heard even though it was kind of common knowledge at the time because I wasn't a really movie buff, and had never heard of any of the 3 actors there that night, Ryan Reynolds, Amy Smart, and Anna Faris.

While Ryan broodingly drank heavily at the back part of the bar, and Amy Smart was aloof and ignored anyone that tried talking to her, Anna was the life of the party, almost like something out of a movie scene. She graciously danced with anyone who asked her (both men and women), borrowed bit and pieces of other people's 80s clothing so she was all Cyndi-Laupered-up herself, dancing up on the stage, and generally getting the entire crowd all revved up and in the spirit of things.

I don't think I'm exaggerating to say that just about everyone there that night had one of the funnest times they ever had (I know I did, and I didn't have any clue who she even was), and I've made a point of never missing anything she's been in since. Her lack of vanity and genuinely friendly personality (especially in comparison to the other two movie-stars attitudes and behavior) was just very exceptionally cool, and even taught me a lesson about never thinking I'm above anyone else, or being afraid to do anything goofy because of pride, and just have a good time and help others to where ever I am.

So thank you Anna Faris, a very down-to-earth and fun woman.

Great story! It is nice to hear she is as awesome in real life as she is in her movies!

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I've always had a 6th sense about people. Glad to know I was on target with her. She seems like such a genuine person. I always try to see her projects to support her.

Rally cool to hear that.

Ryan and Amy could both be introverted, not snobs.
