sex "addict" isn't real. it is a human, normal, biological function and drive no different than eating or sleeping. women get laid because their drive is making kids, guys drive helps that to happen. its been this way for all of our existance. why are these things considered "wrong" now? WtF?

how did we all become so insanely fking stupid lately???

True, there is nothing wrong with consensual sex, but Me Too Fascists pretend there is, partly for attention and partly to make money---in this case $2.2 million. The '60s was about a sexual revolution. The 2010s & 2020s is about the opposite led by Rose McGowand, Asia Argento, and other fucktards.

Just because sex is a normal biological function doesn't mean a person can't become addicted to it.

your body is made for it. it's not like we generate alcohol or cigarettes internal and become addicted. those are external. someone saying sex can be an addiction is nothing more than someone saying it. and, yes, I am aware of all the inconclusive studies and support groups.

If I porked 4 times a day and you only 4 times a year, you could say I was addicted. I would say I am not, since I know someone how porks 12 times a day. are they addicted? no. it's how they are made to work.
some people can lift a lot more weight than others, some run faster or slower, eat more or less, we're all different. who gets to decide if *I* am addicted to sex, or just embracing my natural level?
a natural level that has been oddly surpressed by society, religion, peer pressure, only to be seen in use of online porn rising, and other various tell tale signs...

A guarentee you if we all had access to hot and cold running women that actors do, we would be acting the exact same way.

Is a junior high boy that can't stop jacking off every night an addict? Or just doesn't have any self control. An addiction is requires some very specific thing to really be classed as an addiction. Sex addict just bullshit created by dudes that got caught banging the neighbor or nanny.

Yeah, well, it's a pretty sure bet that the public will forget what a douche he is.

But of course that doesn't mean he can make a comeback. I mean he's not that good an actor, and as he's an asshole, who knows who he's pissed off over his years in Hollywood. That's the thing about being a jerk, your behavior is forgiven as long as you're generating money, but if you stop being profitable... you don't get a second chance.

That's one of the reasons Keanu Reeves has had such a long career, BTW. Everyone likes him, se he always gets a second chance, or a 3rd, 4th, or 5th chance. Franco won't get the same opportunities for a comeback.

My point WAS that Keanu is the opposite of an asshole, or a predator! Everyone likes Keanu - his co-stars want to work with him again, audiences have liked him for decades, crews adore him because he gives them generous gifts, and presumably the suits like him as well... and it's all paid off. He's on about his 10th comeback now, with the John Wick films, because he always gets another chance.

As for Franco, it seems that not even his friends (or "friends") like him enough to stand up for him. He may be able to work as an actor again, but he's not getting back to the A list.

I read it like: "Franco may be able to make a comeback, even though he's a scumbag, as long as he remains profitable. That's why Keanu Reeves has been able to have three or four comebacks in his career."

Sorry if I phrased it poorly, I really do try.

My point was that Keanu has been able to make that many comebacks because everyone likes him, and you'd think his fellow actors would learn from his example.

Actors who go around being dicks and making enemies often experience catastrophic career slumps, when they run into trouble nobody wants to extend a helping hand, and there are plenty who want to kick them while they're down. Betcha Franco's enemies list includes every female he's ever worked with.

Pardon me. I don't want to be an ass (I really don't) but although I now understand what you meant, I still don't get why you say Reeves had that many comebacks.

Did you mean a comeback as a predominant celebrity?

Because to me, an actor (or any other artist) making a comeback is because he was on hiatus and away from the limelight for a significant period of time. Or has dropped tremendously in the public's esteem due to a scandal. Neither of those apply to Reeves.

He's had many strings of flop films over the years, and usually if a leading actor has 2-3-4 or more flop films in a row, their career never recovers.

But Keanu has had plenty of cinematic disasters, most of them mercifully forgotten, but he always comes back. Because everyone likes him, he always gets more chances than dicks like Franco.
