While banning Dr. Seuss books is clearly hysterical witch hunting at its best, the fact that the libbies have taken down one of their own is a bit gratifying if I must admit such a thing. It's only too bad he wasn't around to see this. Maybe he would have better understood the right's obsession with Constitution in general and the Bill of Rights specifically.
I think it backfired though. I just heard that sales on Dr Seuss books have skyrocketed. That’ll learn people that racism doesn’t pay!

I heard that as well, but I think it's just buying up of current stock. What I heard is the publisher is taking several of the Seuss books out of print. I'm sure the witch hunters are scouring every syllable in the rest of the books looking for something else to be offended at.
