Excellent in FRINGE

I'd not heard of this man before watching FOX's "Fringe" (although I've watched many of the movies on his IMDb list), but I had to come here in order to find out who played the mysterious Mr. Jones.

He's really great! I'm not sure where his character is going but Harris controls every scene that he's in!

"What this country needs right now... is a Doctor."

At this point, I'm just really hoping that "There's More Than One of Everything" means there is another David Robert Jones waiting in the alternate universe next season, because he has been brilliant on Fringe. It would be awful to lose one of my favorite characters...

reply

I thought Jones would have made for a great series-long villain ala Ben Linus in Lost and Sloan in Alias, so I think it's a shame they killed him off only after one season.

reply

I agree. I thought he is R Harris' son cause he sounds just like his dad, and looks a little like him too. He is even good in Mad Men-he really does control every scene he's in. It's because of him I got hooked on Fringe. And I am so hoping there will be a mirror universe Jones coming up in Season 2!

reply

I can hope that nobody is dead forever Fringe, but since he's on Mad Men this season, he may not be back soon.

I agree, he's mesmerizing as an actor. Not his father's caliber but good. I hope he eventually comes back to Fringe because David Robert Jones, Mr. Jones, was a worthy nemesis to the Fringe team.

reply

Agreed. He's absolutely fantastic as Mr Jones. Hopefully we'll see more of him in season 2

reply

Jones is easily the best thing about the show, so sardonic and condescending. Jared is head and shoulders above the other actors.

reply

Yeah he is a great actor. I came to post that and now I see others agree.

reply

There is. Thomas Jerome Newton.
