Why Is It 'Love You To' and Not 'Love You Too'?

shareGeorge never explained the title. I always took it to mean "I'd love you to ..." It's not a typo. Nowhere in the lyrics is the girl mentioned as loving him, so it's not referring to the idea that "he loves her too". It's not at all a standard love song. It's very philosophical and influenced by his study of Eastern religions at that time. It's about how short and precious life is.
shareOh like the phrase 'love you to... the moon and back' for instance? I guess it'd make sense if it's in a sentence that's cut short. Sorry I know it's a minor thing but I guess even a petty thing like a grammar mistake bothers me a little. I don't know why lol.
