Ted Levine should have played Rusty Nail in Joy Ride

I guess they didn't pick Ted Levine to do the acting, because he probably got on board AFTER the film was shot. Anyway, they should have reshot the scenes where you can see the villain WITH Ted. This actor has not only a terrific voice, but he would be perfect for the role as serial killer truck driver. But instead they took a fat ape who doesn't look as a psycho who's intelligent enough to work this all out.

Also, Ted Levine should have been cast as John Rider in The Hitcher remake instead of Sean Bean.

Ted Levine doesn't want to play any more killers after playing Buffalo Bill in "The Silence of the Lambs"

I wonder, on average how many people walk up to him and recite the lotion line? I can understand why he doesn't want to play serial killers anymore.

yeah, but they did use his voice. It seems a bit silly that if he doesn't wanna do serial-killer stuff (which I don't understand in the first place - does Sly stop doing Rocky movies because people would shout "Adrian!" at him or "Go Rocky, the Eye of the Tiger, man!" No)

The actors that plays the serial killer doesn't match the voice and the character. He looks too much like the guy who got waisted as the gluttony victim in Se7en. It's a no good casting decision that blow up the ending for me, that honestly looked already too complicated to be credible.

actually, if you guys watch the movie again, the man they catch at the end IS NOT rusty nails. He is still alive. HE used a decoy to escape. How do I know this? BEcause after everything is over, you hear Rusty Nail's voice over the radio, which means he escaped.

Powerbreak, Rusty nail was supposed to be big, its a character trait. I like they made him big.

I think ted did a killer job on the voice, but come on, they picked the right guy to do the real acting.
