I was just wondering if she smoked, because her voice has gone a bit lower and sounds kind of raspy, if you know what I mean. Like, it doesn't sound like it did on Who's the Boss? and I was just wondering if that was the reason?

shareI've never read any evidence she smokes. She has smoked playing a role, but, as I understand it, there are special cigarettes used in those situations.
shareNo, I'm pretty sure she doesn't. Where did you hear that?? No way, I don't think she would ever smoke. When she was smoking on Ira & Abby, it looked like she never had smoked before. She was barely inhaling and smokers usually inhale more than just a couple puffs a minute.

I don't know if she does in real life, but her character smokes in the Lombardi show on Broadway. A real tough cookie character. So good.

I don't believe Judith smokes. I think the reason for her low voice now is just age. Most people as they get older their voices get lower. Keep in mind she was in her 30's and early 40's when she did WTB? so her voice was a lot different back then.
Judith's teeth are too nice for her to be a smoker.
Tony's voice is also lower now than it was when that show was on and I don't believe he smokes either.
she may not smoke but she is smokin' for someone who is in her 60's same with wendie malick
