My Favorite Character on OITNB

I wasn't took crazy about Doggett in Season one (no pun intended), but by Season 2, I really started to like her and feel some empathy for her circumstances. This character triggers a whole range of emotions. At times, you loathe her for her trashy, small-mindedness. At other times, you pity her for having suffered years of victimization and abuse and for the effect that has had on her persona. And then at other times, she says something that is just shout out funny and you just laugh. Of particular note is her comment about Vee in episode one of Season 3 - cafeteria scene. I just screamed in laughter.

It took a while, but I grew to love Doggett. She is my hands down favorite and I relish every scene she is in.

She's had an amazing character development. And she's been entertaining while a bit scary for those of us who know there are some people just like her on the outside, too.

But will she be back for 2017? On the cast list for her it has 2016 as the end date. I can't imagine the show without her; but I must have forgot what happened at the end of last season.

Ya know, I wasn't real taken with the Doggett character either until I watched "A Tittin' and a Hairin'" (I think that's the name) episode in Season 3. The way her poor dumb mother raised her daughter around sex made me extremely sad. The scenes with the one boy who actually treated her with respect were really sweet though. So glad to have Doggett's backstory now.
