Bob Newhart has passed away

I really enjoyed him in everything he did especially his 70s TV series where he played psychologist Dr. Bob Hartley.

RIP

Every time I saw him I wondered how much longer he would be around.

I've been expecting him to die for the last 10 years, he looked so bad. He wasn't my cup of tea, but still...RIP.

reply

Same here. His humor was too dry for my tastes. But he was blessed to see his 90's. He outlived his wife and the two actresses who played his wives. Many have stated he was a very nice person as well.

Don Rickles called him "the most beautiful man I know", and went on to say he was classy and a genius.

He definitely made an impact on many lives.

reply

I liked the 1970s series.

If you believe in the afterlife, just know that him and Rickles are killing it.

Exactly!

He was an accountant and had the biggest selling comedy album of all time.

The series finale of his second Newhart series, where he ran a New England inn, had one of the funniest endings in television history.

Goodbye, Bob. Thank you for all the decades of brilliant humor and wit. You always made life a little brighter by your presence.
