Leah Remini's memoir...your thoughts?

Surprised nobody has brought this subject up here as yet. Her book is due on Nov. 3rd this year. So fans...what are your thoughts on her talking at length about her life in Scientology and in Hollywood? Anyone planning to get the book (or not)? What do you hope to learn or which topics do you think she'll cover in depth?

I'll check it out of the library for sure. I've not really ever been a big fan, I'm more interested in the potential Scientology story.

However, I will say that I have watched several episodes of her reality show and it's obvious she has a great family, they're all seemingly happy, and they love each other. It's refreshing to see a reality program that isn't a total freak show. She's a class act and I'm glad she got away from what can only be described as an insane and dangerous cult. So far anyway, it appears she's not been targeted and harassed by the Scientology faithful like so many other defectors, but I imagine that's something she'll talk about in the book.

I'm looking forward to her explaining the Scientology life from a celebrity perspective. Any juicy info on fellow cult celebs like Cruise, Alley or the Elfmans and on key Scientology staff (e.g. Tommy Davis) would be welcome. Of course, I hope she goes into detail about what went down at the TomKat marriage that led to her being disciplined by her "church" and eventually caused her to break from it. And whatever happened to Shelly Miscavige? What was Leah's friendship like with her? What did she observe of the Miscavige spousal relationship? So many questions...

I've just finished. I've come to a conclusion that scientology is as wicked and controlling as liberalism.

reply

Pretty poor conclusion. Being liberal is relatively normal. Scientologists are freaks.

Thank you for your comment. Being a liberal also means having good common sense and m=not being a moron......everything a tea bagger is.

Leah's interview on 20/20 last night kicked butt!!

As for samup7775's derailing of this thread discussion (or what I've come to know it as "distraction tech" when performed by bitter and agitated Scientologists)...nice try, but the focus is on LEAH REMINI. Not politics. Are you illiterate?

I will wait until I hear if there is much in her book about working on The King of Queens. If not, I might read it, but if she talks about being on that show, I will definitely read it.
