His role in the Killing was amazing, he owned season 3, he made it worth watching. He brings raw emotion to his roles. Just watched him as O'Halloran in Black Mass... another GREAT performance - this guy really delivers. He wasn't in the film all that often, but he is a scene stealer for sure.
Totally agree. I started to watch The Killing because of him and was really impressed by his performance. Just watched Black Mass last week and he again did a wonderful job. Actually I've been a casual fan of his for some years. Although he rarely plays leading roles but he almost never fails to steal the show. Very under-rated actor.

shareI came here to post this exactly. Just finished watching his last episode on The Killing and never has the perfect storm of acting, directing & filming taken place to make you feel that raw intense emotion feeling his anxiety.
It was, to say the least.....brilliant.
He deserved an Emmy.
