Perfect English in Hemlock Grove

I'm very impressed at his ability to speak basically without any accent... I've only detected it once or twice and I'm trying to hear it.... Did he spend a lot of time in the US growing up or attend an English-language school?

I know many Scandinavians can speak English with just a trace of an accent, but his accent is flawless! His English is basically the best of the cast, considering the Canadian accent is so prevalent among the rest of the cast (and Famke's accent is so over the top).

He probably spent some time abroad during his fathers work.
Actually, he went to my school which was a normal public school, so nothing fancy there. Most swedes around our age has pretty good accent, and almost anyone can fake/imitate sentences flawlessly.

Alexander Skarsgård's accent is actually not that great if you'd compare him to swedes 10-5 years younger than him.

Did we watch the same show?! His accent is horrendous.

reply

Yeah, I gotta agree with carolinasu8. His very noticeable Swedish accent kept yanking me out of the story. Especially when it would briefly disappear only to make a roaring comeback.

u gotta b kidding right????His american accent is TERRRIBLE!

reply

Nearly every sentence is with an accent.

I agree with everyone on here. I didn't even know who this actor was, but I kept hearing the way he spoke and thought he doesn't sound American, so I looked him up.

Agree for a foreigner, it's very good English, but certainly not authentic enough to pass as an American.

Cute kid though.

reply

Yeah I have no clue what your talking about. Everything he says with a slight accent.

reply

I don't know what most of you guys are talking about. WASPy americans tend to sound like him, and even more so if you grew up with a mother that has an accent like Olivia. His posh american accent is believable. He certainly doesn't sound like a foreigner. His accent is kind of similar to Ryan Phillippe on Cruel Intentions which was a WASP.
