why is she so underrated? is she a diva?
i think she is talented, but i haven't really seen her in much.
I just think that she needs a new manager. Or maybe she just hasn't had the right role yet.

I think she is highly talented and underused in big leading roles. She should out for big movies, but we don't see her. Lets get this girl some bigger blockbuster roles, she's very talented, beautiful and put together.

shareI agree. I saw her first on Friday Night lights and I was so impressed I made sure to watch The Defenders. (which I also liked)
I came here today because I caught the back end of Eve's Bayou yesterday and thought, "Is that Jurnee Smollett?". She only had a hint of what a beauty she would become as an adult, but she sure had acting chops as good as any "child" star I have seen.
This 60 year old, Southern white male looks forward to seeing more of her work.
I guess she doesn't get offered much roles. It's a shame. I think she's one of the more talented actors out there.

It's a damn shame, she is really talented. I liked her in "The Defenders" I really, really wish this show wouldn't have been cancelled so soon, it has a lot of potential!
