A big shout-out to the one(s) who archived these threads from Kristen's IMDb message board!

I went on Kristen's IMDb message board expecting to read comments for one last time, as I thought this board would remain open until February 20th, only to discover that it was already gone.

So thanks from the bottom of my heart to the one(s) responsible for archiving these threads and hopefully we can continue our discussions here on moviechat.org, my new fave film forum.

Hello LL! Yeah, the Imdb boards started closing earlier than expected. Seems they didn't close them all at once since I could still see The Walking Dead forums but Kristen and a couple others I checked were closed.

I saw someone post info on this forum earlier on Feb 19th. Glad I checked the forums before it was too late else I wouldn't have seen this site.

Thanks Ron for telling me about this site. Only wished we had more time to spread the word and tell other board regs on IMDb about moviechat.org. I've been perusing Facebook and Twitter, yet these social networking services simply don't have features such as the ones provided on forums with message boards such as this. I also checked out some fansites, yet even these don't offer as well-rounded a perspective as a movie forum where you come across fans of a very wide range of actors, directors, films and genres.

You're welcome LL. I also wish we had more time to let IMDB Kristen forum members know. Hopefully people were checking last day and some saw that thread with this forum link but I fear that with the forum closing down a bit early some people missed it.

First off, thanks for the e-mail, Ron.

Secondly, is this place being run by IMDb? Or did they just take over the message board operation?

I ask this because a lot here looks very familiar, like the Search box and Kristen's IMDb number of 0829576.

Anyway, nice to see y'all again.

Hey Carved,
It does look like the logo/colors of IMDB but I don't know if there's any connection.

Glad you found the place. If you have twitter or face book info on any other people from IMDB let them know about this site. I wonder how many other posters saw it before IMDB took down their forums....

Perhaps someone should start a blog listing the top alternatives to IMDb's now defunct message boards in order to redirect traffic to this site.

Good idea LL. I figure it'll take some time for people to make their way to new boards. But it does seem like a lot of people from IMDB in general have been looking for other sites as seen by comments in various threads.
