No Collusion

What a surprise

reply

What a nothingburger this has become. Millions of dollars and untold man-hours to indict some Russians for wire fraud. The optics are even worse after the fiasco with the Parkland shooter.

reply

I hate to go here because I don’t like Hillary Clinton at all but you’re being a hypocrite complaining about this when the republicans did the same and worse r/ the Benghazi investigation. An enormous waste of time money and resources.

Also, I’m sick of the Russian collision investigation too but is it settled? I don’t think it’s over.

reply

This is far worse than Benghazi. The Dems have duped millions into believing Trump won because of the Russians. Nutty stuff.

reply

The investigation was always over Russian meddling, first and foremost, which was a fact.

It's unavoidably suspicious that it was all done in support of Trump. The question is: Why? The easy answer was collusion, but I personally believe the "insider gossip" that Trump did not want to win and did not expect to be able to win. Thus, I would not be surprised if there was zero collusion.

Was the meddling done to punish him for not being enough of a lap-dog to Putin? Done to attack the country by trying to elect someone unfit for office? Done because Russia felt Hillary would pursue agendas that would go against Russian interests?

There has to be a reason, obviously.

reply

Its not a fact. Hillary lost because she failed to campaign certain swing States. You can't blame Russia for that, oh and also Hilldog got 3 million more votes, is that Russias fault as well?

reply

It's a fact that Russia meddled. Meddling does not guarantee any outcomes.

reply

"Meddling" isn't a crime. Try again.

reply

All I keep hearing is the Russia meddled. What exactly did they do that guaranteed Trump to win? No news channel ever says exactly what they did.

reply

Mueller filed indictments against Russian operatives today. Check it out.

reply

"claimed the Russians had conducted a years-long campaign to sow discord in US politics in advance of the 2016 election."

So whats the difference between an Foreign Country doing that versus someone living in the US? As I remember Fox News ran a vicious campaign against John Kerry and Obama. How is that any different then what Russia did? Also don't forget the smear campaign against Roy Moore.

It seems to me like if a smear campaign is done in house that is ok but if someone outside the country does it then thats illegal.

I don't think the Russian thing had any bearing on the outcome of the election. Trump won certain key States is why he won. If the Russian meddling somehow caused Trump to win then how can one explain why Hillary got more votes.

reply

It seems to me like if a smear campaign is done in house that is ok but if someone outside the country does it then thats illegal.

And the CIA has done it around the world to other countries, for decades.

reply

I know thats what doesn't make any sense. They try and act like their shit don't stink.

reply

Oh, also: I do not take the stance that meddling is illegal. I only take the stance that it was a fact.

reply

Its definitely a fact now. But how do you stop people from making false claims and statements? Its the bread and butter of the Washington Political machine.

reply

The only criminal act that's been proven was the hacking of Podesta's email account and subsequent disclosures to Wikileaks. Its ironic that the left wants to make a big deal about this. They are the ones who lionized Snowden and Manning as heroes for leaking classified information. Those guys did very real damage to U.S. national security. Epic hypocrisy and dishonesty.

reply

Mueller just did indictments on Russian operatives today.

They're being indicted for wire fraud and identity theft. Posting fake shit on Facebook is not a crime.

reply

You left out the first charge:

charging them with conspiracy to defraud the United States, the Department of Justice announced Friday.

In addition, three defendants were charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud, and five defendants with aggravated identity theft.

It's true, posting fake shit is not a crime. I'm not taking the stance that the meddling was a crime, I'm taking the stance that the meddling was a fact.

reply

They made some fake accounts on Facebook. What a "conspiracy".

reply

This is far from over.

reply

"nothingburger"

needs to be in Websters!

reply

You're right, there was no collusion between Trump and Russia but I'm sure there was between Russia and Hillary. Alas, people will still scream COLLUSION until Trump is out of office in 2024.

reply

They don't realize Pence is worse than Trump just like how they didn't realize Trump would win the presidency. They keep shooting themselves in the foot.
