The virus

reply

the virus was a blessing for his political opponents....... they said, look at all this death, its trumps fault.

the US have not done worse than many other countries.

death rate is higher in Belgium, a first world country in the heart of Europe.
and no-one is demanding their leader to take all the blame.

reply

It’s not Trump’s fault meaning you can’t blame him for the virus. It came from China and Trump said no one from China is allowed to enter the country. Unfortunately someone who went to China traveled to Canada then the United States and that’s how the virus spread. You can’t stop a virus regardless of what you do and blaming someone for a disease spreading is ridiculous. It’s not Trump’s fault!!

reply

The virus entering the USA is not Trump's fault, but his total failure to enforce mask-wearing and social distancing was.

reply

Trump appointed Anthony Fauci to set up guidelines to combat coronavirus. Fauci is the one that told us to wear masks and social distance.

reply

And Trump didn't heed that advice. My point exactly.

reply

While Fauci was saying wear masks and social distance, Trump was saying do whatever you want. Then Trump turned on Fauci because Fauci was getting too much credit than Trump liked. Then Trump's base called for the removal of Fauci. Then Bannon called for the murder of Fauci.

reply

Trump’s “ban” on travel from China is his go-to point when defending his response to the coronavirus pandemic. The problem with his core argument starts with the fact that he did not ban travel from China. He imposed porous restrictions:

"The U.S. restrictions that took effect Feb. 2 continued to allow travel to the U.S. from China’s Hong Kong and Macao territories over the past five months. The Associated Press reported that more than 8,000 Chinese and foreign nationals based in those territories entered the U.S. in the first three months after the travel restrictions were imposed.

Additionally, more than 27,000 Americans returned from mainland China in the first month after the restrictions took effect. U.S. officials lost track of more than 1,600 of them who were supposed to be monitored for virus exposure.

Few doubt that the heavy death toll from COVID-19 would be even heavier if world travel had not been constricted globally. But Trump has no scientific basis to claim that his action alone saved “millions” or even “hundreds of thousands” of lives, as he has put it."

reply

STOP LYING.

reply

The virus was conveniently timed by the CCP. And the Dems helped make it worse, too.

How quickly people forget.

reply

Great post.

reply

it conveniently showed up during an election year, nothing to see here, move along.

reply

Some of it was just dumb luck. Much of it was residual from Obama. Sadly, Trump caused the immigration problem. Hopefully Biden can fix those problems and actually try to make immigration less complicated and actually attainable for people seeking nothing but a better life.

reply

So anything good was not his doing and anything bad was 100% his fault, nice.

reply

Most actions to help/hurt the economy are not truly felt for years. Obama literally walked into an economy so bad, most annalists were calling it the next great depression. That crisis was averted, and the economy improved over the next 8 years. If the economy was good during the first year of Trump's term, he had nothing to do with it. Also, his tax plan helped the Middle Class initially, but the intention was for it to heavily hurt the lower and middle classes and be a huge boost to the 1%. Those effects have yet to be felt.

This country was built on helping immigrants. "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free ... " Helping people who cannot help themselves. There's nothing more American than those ideals. If there are problems with how immigration is handled, fix the problems. Don't close the boarders and become the country who refuses refugees. For someone who claims to be Christian but clearly has never opened a Bible (It's First Corinthians, not One Corinthians), most of his policies are anti-Christian.

He's racist, sexist and narcissistic, and every time I hear someone say "Former President Trump," I breath a huge sigh of relief.

reply

Except he didn't do anything except golf and tweet, oh, and create division and incite violence.

reply

Re read my tweet i listed 5 key areas

I can also pull words out of my ass. Let me present some facts instead.

The federal budget deficit increased.
4 million less jobs than when he started. Unemployment rose to 7.9%.
Federal debt increased.
Built (but never finished) a shitty wall.
Separated children from their parents at the border. Keeps them in dehumanizing conditions.
Immigration continued to rise, but slower than before, I guess he did manage that! But what they didn't tell you is immigration is a significant driver for the economy.
Trump didn't start a *new* war, but he didn't stop the ongoing ones either and basically continued the foreign policy of previous administrations.

Feel free to fact check the above.

reply

Not sure, but:
"Unemployment rose to 7.9%" - Yes, but that's related to Covid-19, right? Then it's a global problem, not Trumps fault...
"he didn't stop the ongoing ones either" - As far as I know he gave instructions to bring most of the troops from Iraq and Afghanistan back home.

reply

Not most of the troops, a small percentage eventually left.

People forget that the U.S. is involved in the Yemeni Civil War. From Wikipedia:
The Yemeni government meanwhile has enjoyed significant international backing from the United States and Persian Gulf monarchies. U.S. drone strikes were conducted regularly in Yemen during Hadi's presidency in Sanaʽa, usually targeting Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. The United States was also a major supplier of weapons to the Yemeni government, although according to the Pentagon, hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of that material has gone missing since it was delivered.

Full article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yemeni_Civil_War_(2014%E2%80%93present)

The U.S. and Saudi Arabia are involved because it is alleged that the Houthi group is backed by Iran. We all know how badly Donnie wanted a war with Iran.

"The only president to get it right"

This is why people don't take Trump or his supporters seriously. It's always the biggest, best, most, or least (if it's a bad thing) with you guys. You just don't tell the truth. You can't not exaggerate.

The economy was generally good under him, until the virus, I will say that. Some of it was him, but it's also been on the rise for like 9 years:

You've got to be kidding.

> decreased the debt

Not at all.

reply

Didn't decrease the debt but otherwise he was a great president.

reply

Not at all.

reply

I agree with you and the economy was amazing too! Wow, so amazing!! The dumb media bashed Trump and shed him in a really bad light; in a way, Trump was very bullied; his whole family was which is sad. I feel really bad for him and his wife and Ivanka. I will miss him as my president.

reply

Oh yeah, the economy was fucking amazing ... for the super rich. Wages still stagnant for everyone else. Harder and harder for regular people to get by, while we cut taxes for the 1%. Folks need to get the mental image of the 1970's Republican Party out of their heads. They've been terrible stewards of the economy since then.

Every Republican President has left their successor a recession and usually some other kind of mess along with it. The biggest increases in the national debt have occurred under Republican, not Democratic, administrations. Bill Clinton actually managed a budget SURPLUS, the only occasion during my lifetime when this has happened, and he did it without cutting into social safety nets or other government programs. Then George Dubya took over and did what his party does - tax cuts and business deregulation, the only ideas they've had over the last four decades. We know how THAT turned out. Under Trump they've been spending money like drunken sailors! With more of those tax cuts for rich people and deregulation. All of a sudden they've discovered the deficit again, and want to fight against "out of control spending" now that Biden's come to town, after not giving a shit since he left four years ago. Please!

Why do you feel bad for Ivanka? She's as entitled and crooked as her old man. And Melania - wait for that divorce filing, wait for it, wait for it ... on the other hand I wonder what kind of prenup the Orange Ogre made her sign? They haven't even shared the same bed during his Presidency, so she sure as hell isn't with him for love! 😎

Get over Trump you weirdo! How long are you people going to fixate on the man? You're obsessed!
