After Trump Loses in 2024....

Trump is going to lose the 2024 election (or fail to obtain the nomination) and become an even less viable candidate for the 2028 election. When this happens, will the GOP fall all over themselves to distance themselves from MAGA and return to Reagan-Bush era politics to appeal to the more rational Republicans in the country?

Perhaps they will return to being the gun-rights party instead of the gun grab party? The free speech party instead of the book ban party? Reject christo-fascism?

Edited for spelling.

reply

"Reject christo-facism"

Exactly! Not everyone can have Christ's face, gawd! Bigots.

reply

Well put. :)

Each time I see a post like this one, I understand more and more why the movie didn't end on January 20, 2021.

reply

I don't think Trump is going to be alive for the 2028 election.

reply

Possible. But the politicians of today that fawn over Trump or allow him to be the monster that he is, will have to find a way to get out of his shadow, which will still block the light after he is dead.

reply

After Biden loses in 2024, will the Democrats edge a little away from the slippery slope of Leftist extremism they have been rushing toward like lemmings for the last 8 years?

reply

That is very possible. Exactly which leftist extremism policies are you hoping they abandon?

Perhaps they will abandon their anti-gun agenda and allow the GOP to do it instead? Are you looking forward to trump's gun confiscation without due process?

reply

Well, to put it like that.

Trump is an unpredictable firecracker.
You've better ones (USA).
And yah, the constant Trump bashing is ugly.
He didn't get a fair trial...doesn't shade a good light on the USA.
Also doesn't change that Trump is NOT a good POTUS.

reply

Two party system. A vote for Biden is a vote to validate the trump bashing and the unfair trials, not to mention the hate and oppression aimed at the Trump BASE.

A vote for Trump is a vote for NOTHING like that. You might not like him or you might disagree on some policies, but voting for him is not voting for... the madness of the left.

reply

Hmmm, understand.
Would you accept Nikki Haley?

reply

No. Trump doesn't get the nomination, the lesson to society and history is a validation of the "narrative" of the left.

reply

Sorry, I don't really understand what you mean.
You think that Trump won't get nominated (get it).
But who else?

reply

No, IF he doesn' get it.

If he wins and becomes president it is a slap into the face of those that are trying to divide American and oppress so many of US.

If he LOSES, it will enpower and validate them and their ideas.

reply

Do you think that Trump is able to unite?

reply

I think that,

1. he is hte one most likely to make some progress in that regard, and

2. his winning with be a blow to the ideas and people trying to divide and oppress us, and

3. even if not, at least we will still be fighting back.

reply

4. you'll lose Europe as an ally.

reply

If Europe can't take an US president that wants them to pay their fair share and want's a secure border,

that, and any consequences, is their choice, not ours.

reply

Trump was right to say that we need to care more for ourselves.
Now, we're allowed again. *dirty grin*
But he said a little more. ☻

reply

I have no idea what you are talking about.

reply

Trump has had more than one trial; which one are you referring to? Exactly what was unfair about the trial?

reply

It would be absolutely absurd for him to run again in 2028 if he fails in 2024. He will be 86, but I'm sure the right will consider him very cognizant and healthy. Fucks sake, he'll be 90 when he leaves office.
