Had a feeling she was next. R.I.P

Damn!

She was/is an absolute legend. One of the GREATEST pop/rock musicians of all time.

This one really hits hard, and although I hate to compare celebrity deaths, this might be the saddest one of the year for me.

She was pretty much up there in that very exclusive rock legend category along with Prince, Bowie, Michael Jackson, and Madonna (the only one still alive). I'm not including Jagger, Lennon or Freddie Mercury, because they're mostly known via their bands, or Elvis, because he belongs to an earlier generation. I'm thinking of those post-70s musical icons.

reply

Elton John is still going.

reply

True. And he is indeed great. But didn't he recently retire/announce his retirement?

reply

Don't know. Never really liked him or Tina Turner much but for one or two of their songs.

You don't have to like someone to respect their contribution and dedication to their music for all that time.

reply

how is it possible not to be an elton john fan.

reply

Easily.

reply

what about all those great 70s songs?

reply

List the ones you deem great.

reply

the list would be too long.

reply

I second that.
Guy has some great songs but for fucks sake he's insufferable.

reply
