What you ACTUALLY thought of the movie.

Yes, the 'he looks like Liam Neeson" thing was big on everyone's mind. Now, lets talk about the movie.

When I first saw the posters, I laughed. Then, when I watched the trailer, I was hooked. Abraham taking the axe, covering it in silver and holding it out at arms length had me believing the premise could actually work.

It is pure fantasy, but if one looks away from plot holes and divergences to Abe's real life, it's a fun fantasy. It gives the reason for the civil war a whole new angle.

By the end I was thinking someone should mashup this movie with Interview With a Vampire and have Abe slay Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. I would pay to see that.

As would I!
Seriously though, I went in thinking nothing of it and came out having had a good time.
Come to think of it, it was maybe my favourite film of 2012. As long as you don't take it too seriously and just have fun, its an awesome movie!
The book is better, though it takes it a lot more seriously and that wouldn't really translate well to the screen.

Overall i totally agree! I loved this film, bought it on bluray and watch it regularly.

I would pay to see that too! *enjoys mental images*

As for AL:VH, a friend recommended it to me. She said it was a fun, entertaining film. She was right. After seeing it, I went and read the novel, which was much different from the book.

Pardon my Klatchian.
