Looks a lot like a young Mark Rylance.

Noticed this recently, they definitely have a very similar look and quality to them. I'd love to see them work together on stage or screen.

Wow, you've noticed too? I did a whole layout of their pictures on tumblr, but hardly anyone saw the resemblance. It's true that their facial features look nothing alike, but some common quality is unmistakably there. Would love to see them play the same character in young and middle age. Anything in Shakespeare besides Prince Hal?

They are both in Days and Nights (2014), actually--so, your wish has come true!

And I agree that there's a similar quality--something about the gentle, subtle mannerisms and able to tell a story with their eyes alone.

Perhaps its their shared ability to convey emotion and carry the story in their eyes/face.
Rylance is a master at this (probably the BEST I have even seen) and I was just watching BW in the Hollow Crown and thought he carries a lot of emotion in a gaze/look.
