Ed is KILLING The Office

It was half dead when Steve Carrell left, but Ed Helms is just atrocious this year. Completely over acting. Really, not a funny moment with him this year. He is single handidly the #1 reason the show is bottoming out. End of story.

Does anyone even find him that talented enough to be so high up in the entertainment industry? He is just riding off his Hangover success.

I'm on the other side on this one. I see where yous are coming from and I was too until I gave this season a chance. I was coming on here to see if Ed Helms swayed anybody to keep watching. For me, I like the direction they've gone in this season.

It doesn't pack the same gut-laughs as the first three (maybe four) seasons did, but Andy being the manager and the rest of the cast kind of living in the series has been interesting. I personally felt that they should have ended the series when Michael left (in all actuality, probably around S6), but now there's a part of me that wished Carrell would have left earlier and this new angle of the show would have been explored sooner.

But, then again, this isn't necessarily the Office everybody expects, which is kind of what I like about it.

I like Andy as a manager, as an actual manager you might find yourself working for - Michael could really be a dick. To the point where it makes me a little hesitant to want to go back and watch some episodes.

Mugging is his idea of acting. And he isn't funny at all.

Yeah can't stand him as the manager..they chose poorly.

I can't stand the sight of him any longer. The things he says during interviews seem disingenuous. He really seems to have a lot higher opinion of himself than is warranted.

I stopped watching once Ed's character took over...it was just too much Andy for me.
