George Floyd The Movie

not some tv movie but a proper film with proper director etc

who as who ..?

few years ago GF wouldve been EASY casting: Michael Clark Duncan.. but hes sadly gone... he wouldve been so perfect i just cant think of another actor as George Floyd right now :(maybe the Rampage guy who played BA in The A Team movie?)

Officer Derek Chauvin - someone who can do really creepy/sinister like Josh Lucas or even Christian Bale (along the lines of his Harsh Times character)

the plot would be like following both characters throughout their adults lives (Floyd would be portrayed like a petty criminal with a heart of gold type. Chauvin all sinister, cold, showing violent tendencies that would pre-empt that fateful day) occasionally they come close to encountering each other but dont (for example i read they both worked at the same Minneapolis nightclub at the same time but theres no evidence to suggest they met - but that could be a subplot i guess maybe they could kind of almost meet/just pass each other or maybe even look at each other but neither is sure why in a premonition type thing - that would be a big scene) their stories would be intertwined in that prequel way and almost mirrored (same ages): until they fatefully meet on that day - the whole film would have that fate/destiny thing running through it like the Titanic and the iceberg type thing (the film would be reminiscent of the Thomas Hardy poem: "The Convergence of the Twain" actually it could be called something like 'Convergence')

too soon ?

Who plays the woman whose abdomen George shoved a gun into when he and his buds invaded her home?

reply

that part wouldnt require a 'name'

reply

In any kind of movie, instead of pointing a gun, he would probably deliver the baby and be hailed a hero. They call this "artistic license".

reply

Lol, exactly.

reply

lmfao

reply

I think a documentary would be better suited.

Floyd: Ellen Page
Chauvin: Lizzo
Pregnant Woman: Bruce Jenner

Sounds reasonable

LOL best answer. Perfect for clown world

You must be a professional casting director.

CHRIS TUCKER SURPRISES THE WORLD WITH AN OSCAR WIN FOR HIS SENSITIVE PORTRAYEL OF GEORGE FLOYD.

reply

whoever played him would almost certainly be nominated/win an academy award (providing the move was done well like other 'recent tragedy' films United 93 etc )

reply

If they even made a movie, they would probably go with a courtroom drama. The lead character would be Jerry Blackwell, one of the prosecutors

reply

Uzo Aduba would be a perfect choice.

reply

I can't believe I didn't suggest the most obvious choice for Floyd imaginable, just perfect Jonathon Majors (maybe he just wasn't on the radar back when I made OP)
