I think there used to be a resemblance, but Ben doesn't look much at all like him anymore. As he got older, the resemblance to Russell diminished.

lol Anna Torv and Ben McKenzie are only about two months apart in real life and both are the same height. I don't think they look alike though. They have different color eyes (different shape too) and Ben's hair is darker. Their nose bridge and face structure is a little similar, but that's about it in my opinion.

I think there was even a joke from Adam Brody's Seth character in The O.C. mentioning that Ben's character looked like Russell Crowe.

Which is funny because even before i heard that said on the show.. by the first episode that i saw him in i thought about that resemblance almost immediately, i definitely fell out of my chair when i heard them actually come to that conclusion in a future episode.

He has changed a great deal with age.

At this point, I'd say he could play James McAvoy's older brother.

Was watching some Gotham video and Ben looks just like Russell Crowe in LA Confidential. I'm sure that's what they were going for with the whole look and style of the character.

I Don't See A Hint Of Russell Crowe But I Don't Know If Its Just Me But HE Looks A Hell Lot Like Brad Pitt.... Especially In Gotham.
