Should of got a nomination got Foxcatcher

He was so good in this, the best role I think he has ever done

I was surprised too. That bedroom scene, after he lost the fight was so brilliantly done.

Yes, he clearly deserved a nomination for Foxcatcher.

reply

He smashed the mirror for real.

In the mirror bashing scene Channing Tatum actually broke the mirror, which was not in the script. However, he got so into his role that it led him to act with such intensity. The cut to his forehead was genuine.

Unfortunately, Hollywood politics gets in the way of what makes sense

reply

Personally I didn't think he was as good as the other nominees in the best supporting category so no I didn't think he deserved a nomination.

reply

Dash99, you`re talking about Steve Carrell or Mark Ruffallo, because those actors clearly belonged in the Supporting cathegory, Channing belonged in the Leading actor cathegory and he indeed deserved to had a nomination for Foxcatcher.

If he wasn't good enough for the supporting forget about leading actor.

reply

If Steve Carrell were in the Supporting cathegory like JK Simmons did in Whiplash, i think Channing could had more chances to be nominated as the Lead actor for Foxcatcher.
